Synopsis: Leading and Managing Change
The only constant is change. Change management is part of
nearly every organization's vocabulary. Whether we embrace
it or actively avoid it, change is in almost every aspect
of what we do and see even in the most everyday things. For
this reason, and for our own mental well-being we must learn
to develop a positive attitude toward change.
This one-day workshop is designed for people in leadership
positions; be they team leaders, managers, or executives,
who want to support people through change.
This workshop aims to up-skill participants so they understand
and recognize the stages of change, manage themselves and
others to ensure positive attitudes toward change, and understand
the elements necessary to sustain the outcomes of change.
By the end of this workshop and upon application of learning
participants will:
1. Understand the role of a leader during change
2. Understand and identify the stages of change and the different
reactions people demonstrate through these stages
3. Understand how to assist people cope with change and associated
feelings
4. Understand why people resist change and apply skills to
overcome resistance
5. Be skilled to support people to shift their attitude to
be more positive toward the change
6. Understand the change formula and its importance in facilitating
change
7. Understand the process for embedding change into 'the way
we do things around here'
